Requirements: no previous knowledge
We make it as easy as possible for you to get started with WING surfing. On the first day we start with the first exercises from the shore. First we train wing handling on land before switching to the water and surfboard. Steering, getting up, turning around and self-rescue are on the program. On the second day we will deepen the steering and work with you on tacks and jibes. On the 3rd day we continue to tack/gybe and practice maintaining altitude. Anyone who is already that far can do their first few meters with the foil board.
Day 1 – A set of materials for everyone, beach training
Day 2 + 3 – Buddy system, 2 students share 1 material set, boat training
Theoretical content: material science, safety when wing surfing/foiling, wind & weather, evasion rules. The theoretical portion of the teaching time is around 1-1.5 hours in total.
Practical exercises on land or on the boat as well as material preparation are part of the practical lessons.
You can round the whole thing off with another theory lesson and your VDWS Wing license. The prerequisite is that you can practically steer, turn/jibe and self-rescue. Content: Test preparation, theoretical test, license presentation. Additional costs 50€.
All material is included in your course: board, wing, foil.

Group course 4-6 people Requirements: no previous knowledge
You have the wing in your hands for the first time, you learn how to hold it, how it reacts and how to control it. Everything first on land and then on the surfboard, where you can fully concentrate on wing handling. You will also learn how to turn around and do self-rescue so that you can get back to shore on your own.
Wings & boards will be shared between participants. 2-3 material sets for all participants.
Theoretical content: brief material science, safety, wind detection. The theoretical portion of the teaching time is around 0.5 hours in total.
Practical exercises on land and material preparation are part of the practical lessons.

If you are sports buddies forever and enjoy each other’s successes, then you have come to the right place. We offer you the perfect conditions on Lake Garda to get started with wing surfing/foiling.
2 people sharing class time. Everyone gets their own set of materials. We will take you by motorboat to the spot that is most suitable for you. There you can learn optimally at your own pace and at your level. If you prefer the buddy system (you share a set of materials), no problem. The current rental price will of course be deducted from your course fee.
Practice & theory “zero to hero”:
Practical content*: Wing control, board control, 180 degree turn, self rescue, tack, gybe, cruising against the wind, building up speed, keeping course on the foil. Board, taking off with wing support (pumping), taking off with foot control/weight trim, holistically perfecting the pumping technique.
Material distribution:
Day 1 – 1 material set each (surf or foilboard/wing), buddy system on request (2 students share 1 material set), beach and boat training.
Day 2 + 3 – 1 material set each (surf or foil board/wing, buddy system on request (2 students share 1 material set), boat training
Theoretical content**: Materials knowledge, safety when wing surfing/foiling, wind & weather, evasion rules. The theoretical proportion of teaching time depends on the demand or needs of the students.
